Good morning, everyone. Hopefully this newsletter finds you in good moods at work coming off a big three day weekend. From talking to a handful of you it sounds like people enjoyed themselves. P360 shut it’s doors yesterday, recharged the batteries and are feeling great heading into the shorter work week.
We have a lot of announcements, happenings and new things coming up that you need to be sure and read. Some new class announcements, membership options, Fall schedule and more.
Additionally, we took the feedback you guys gave us on our Facebook poll question and are pleased to announce a new meal plan option and new tracking system both in place.
Facebook Month
You guys are killing it for our social media contest so far this month and we need you to keep it up! The full points have not yet been tallied but right now we have Hillary Green, John Blackburn and a handful of others in the mix for the Grand Prize of a free month! Further, if we hit 100 members in September we’ll be throwing a huge party as a thank you!
Keep that Facebook, Twitter and Four Square stuff pumpin’!
Member Shout Outs
The shout outs are dominated by the ladies this week who truly flexed their collective muscle on strength day. We’ve got some pint-sized women who are STRONG!
Upcoming Class Schedule
We have some exciting things happening with the schedule across all current classes and future new classes. They are not all going to be happening at the same time but we want to tentatively give you an idea of what lies ahead.
Daily Challenges
Next week we’ll be going with the following schedule.
- 6:30 am (M – F)
- 7:15 am (M – F)
- 12 pm (Tu, Th)
- 5:30 pm (M – F)
- 6:15 pm (M – F)
- 7 pm (M-F)
So, the 12 pm class is coming back twice a week and as always, if demand is there we’ll roll it out daily just like we are now doing with the evening schedule. Best way to get something you want permanently on the schedule is to show up for it.
Boot Camps
- 7:30 am (M – F)
- 6:30 pm (M – F)
We experimented with 6:30 am boot camps and demand was not there, so we’re going back to 7:30 across the board.
These improvements will all be going into effect this Monday.
Fall Schedule
As the days continue to get shorter once we inch towards October we’ll be updating the boot camp schedule to ensure we get as much light as possible. Boot Camps are 100% going to continue even if they finish up when it’s getting darker, but we just wanted to preemptively let you know we’re planning for the sun appropriately.
Surf n’ Turf Stand Up Paddle Boot Camps will also begin earlier over the course of Fall Friday’s as this Friday’s SUP class starts at 6:15 pm.
**NEW** Classes
Daily Challenge and Boot Camps will never change at P360 as they’ll continue to be our core competency and most focused offering for as long as we’re fortunate enough to be in business. They’ll always have the blend you’re accustomed to and will always be well rounded and offering body and strength improvements in many areas.
That said, we’re really excited about some upcoming classes we’ll be adding to the schedule this Fall that will allow you to even more closely target your individual goals and preferences.
- Power Hour – this will be focused entirely on strength training and have a lot more Olympic movements. We’ll be working on mechanics and technique as well as teaching you how the nervous system plays a large role in strength development.
- Athleticism for Adults – this will be a class that will take you back to your athletic roots if you grew up playing sports and miss the movements. Plyometric, fast-twitch movements will be the focus of this class.
- Black Ops – this will be a very advanced class with challenging movements at a fast pace. It will be the one class offering where we do not advise all fitness levels, and definitely should consult with us before registering. It’s going to be IN-TENSE!
- Core Blast – this will be a class that targets the core and works all abdominal muscles, lower back and hips/glutes.
There you have it. These will be offered one to two times per week as we get them off the ground but we’re excited to bring some additional change of pace to really target specific attributes as part of your weekly program.
We don’t yet have a concrete timeline but wanted to give you a preview.
Yoga for Athletes
You might notice the new name we’ve branded for our yoga classes. We want our classes to compliment the work that you do in our regular classes, so we’ve decided to shorten the yoga sessions to a consolidated 40 minutes of concentrated mobility, flexibility and breathe work.
This way, you can maintain the regular P360 schedule you’re used to and get in and out within 45 minutes or so. They are going to contain the same movements and principles that you’ve enjoyed so far and will continue to be an awesome change of pace and prescription for those of you with trouble spots like tight hips, lower back and hamstrings.
The next class offered will be Thursday night at 6:30 pm.
Surf n’ Turf
Surf n’ Turf SUP is back this Friday at 6:15! We are starting it a little bit earlier to make up for the sun setting around 7:30 these days.
Sign up for it, here.
Meal Planning
I’m very excited about this one! The first addition we’re making in response to the demand for more nutrition is a group style meal plan. I have not seen this offered anywhere else before and I think it’s going to be a hit amongst our members as way to provide meal planning on a budget.
We are adding a new page to our website that will contain a meal plan every week. It will be focused on leaning out and will contain grocery lists for the week, ingredients and cooking instructions for all meals for the entire week. We’re only charging $9.99 to have it added to your membership so it’s a great option for those of you who want some guidance but don’t want to pay the higher price of nutrition coaching and planning.
The $9 gets you access to the page for as long as you wish to subscribe. Shoot us an email if you are interested.
Over the next two weeks we’re going to be offering it to everyone for free so you can get a feel for what it’s going to include. Look for the first week’s post to happen today or tomorrow on our facebook page.
Tracking System
The second addition we are implementing based on your feedback is a revised tracking system where you you can keep close tabs on your results at the gym. It’s going to be two part.
The first part is a paper system in which you’ll manually be able to log your results after each class in some of the major exercises. You’ll be able to see exactly how much weight you should use, the amount of reps, standard times for certain excises and more. It will also contain meal tracking sheets for those of you on the group meal plan who want to make sure you’re held accountable.
The second part of the tracking system will be computer-based. We’ll be transferring your results to a software that will pump out graphs and all sorts of progress charts to show you how far you’ve come across the board.
We are going this at ABSOLUTELY NO COST for those interested.
We’re going to continue to recognize efforts on the board in some fashion, but the day-to-day tracking will be moved to the aforementioned system. Look for your individualized folders over the next few days!
**NEW** Membership Options
We’re always trying to think about how we can provide our members with the most value while also maintaining the integrity of the business. We were talking over the weekend about how we can continue to offer as many options as possible and we’re really excited about to announce some new options once we get to 100 members. Stay tuned for full details in next week’s newsletter.
