OB Members of the Month: Block 8

Owen Quane

There isn’t a harder worker inside the gym than Owen.  From day 1, he hasn’t half assed a single second of any workout and it has shown in his physique and performance.  Every block since Owen has joined, he has made drastic improvements to technique, performance and mobility.  Owen is a true athlete, combining a great mix of overall strength, explosive speed, and sustained endurance.  It’s no wonder he is a soccer player.  Owen isn’t the most boisterous member, quite the opposite matter of fact.  But he is a super addition to our community, down to earth, and a genuinely a great person.  Congrats Owen.

Kara Welker

If you have taken a class with Kara you have been effected by her fun, spunky, and contagious energy.  What you might not know is that Kara came to the gym with a some serious limitations, having dealt with lower back injuries.  As much as she wanted to push herself to the limit on weight and go as fast as possible.  Kara knew that would not benefit her body and life.  So, she worked through different stages of progressions to make sure her body was always getting stronger at the right pace, with the correct movements.  It is great to see her getting back to heavy weight on her lifts and moving fast.  Keep in rolling Kara.  Congrats.
