Kami Olavarria
Kami is probably one of the most open, friendly, and engaging members we have. She is always encouraging to fellow members, asking questions to the coaches, and applying herself at the highest level. Her fitness arc is a pleasure to watch. She came into the gym, soaking up the experience, learning movements properly and never over shooting. Now that Kami has established that foundation, every movement she performs is improving and the weight skyrocketing upward. If you see Kami in the gym, congratulate her on Member of the Block and my suggestion. Share a bar with her.
How old are you, and where are you from?
I am 27 and from Seattle
What do you do for work?
I am a wedding photographer!
What do you do for fun outside of P360?
When I’m not working or at the gym, you can find me hanging with my husband Victor and our dog Bellatrix, having epic game nights with friends, reading a thriller, going to the beach, going to concerts and doing Disneyland days!
How has P360 affected your life?
It’s been sooooo good for me to have something to work on and be excited about that isn’t work-related. I’ve tried just about every kind of workout program out there, and this is the only one that keeps me coming back day after day for so long. For the first time ever, busy-ness is no longer an excuse to not take care of myself and it’s become a non-negotiable in my day. I’ve never felt physically more capable and confident and that’s impacted all areas of my life. I’m so excited to keep coming and working – a day doesn’t feel complete now if I didn’t come in for a workout. And the community is amazing!!!! Also…. I thought I hated lifting and was a self-proclaimed ‘cardio junkie.’ I learned I LOVE lifting more than anything – I just didn’t know how to do it before!
I’ve also noticed a huge improvement with how I bounce back from wedding days. When I shoot weddings, I am on my feet for 8-10 hours carrying heavy gear. After weddings, i wouldn’t even be able to get out of bed the next day. Now, I can do multiple weddings in a weekend and still get a solid workout in the next day. My body just feels way more capable and like it can handle so much more. And since I love working out at P360 so much, feeling tired after a wedding is no longer an acceptable excuse to me which I’m sure is also a huge factor.
What are your favorite, and least favorite exercises?
Favorite: anything squats!!! I get giddy when back squats and front squats are on the calendar. Least favorite: burpees. I just hate them.
What is the hardest thing you have done, physically, in the gym?
Probably not the answer you’re looking for…. but getting up to workout at 6am! It’s REALLY hard for me but I love proving to myself that I can do it and then the rewards of how it impacts the rest of my day is soooo worth it.
What is your most proud achievement at P360?
Specifically, when I back-squatted 200lbs – I felt like a champion! I loooove hitting new weight milestones (and I thought I didn’t like lifting… hahahaha).
More broadly – just the fact that I’ve stuck to something and stayed excited about something for so long. I’m so proud of that
What is a hidden talent of yours?
Everyone knows my husband Victor as the drummer – but I’m a drummer too! And no he didn’t teach me – I’ve been playing since I was a kid!
What is an embarrassing fact most people don’t know about?
When I was in preschool, I noticed kids who peed their pants would come back from the nurses wearing a new outfit. So I decided to start peeing my pants so I could pick out new clothes. This became an unfortunate pattern throughout preschool haha
If money was no concern, what would be your dream job?
Potions professor at Hogwarts and head of the Slytherin House
What is the biggest overall improvement you’ve made, since joining P360?
I would say probably upper-body strength. I had never successfully done a pull-up, and now I feel I’m really close to being able to do some unbanded. I’m able to do full pushups pretty consistently and not have to go to my knees. And I remember the first time I ever tried to do a ring-dip I couldn’t even hold myself up, and now I totally can do them. I feel like my body has already changed a lot since I started!

What’s a funny story from your childhood?
When I was a kid, I could get super mad when my older sister wouldn’t play with me when her friends were over. As revenge, I would break the heads off my dolls and go to my mom and told her my sisters friends did it. I can’t believe it worked – they would get sent home every time! I was basically the worst little sister of all time

I would love to get into the pull-up club. I couldn’t even do them at ALL when I started almost a year ago, and I feel I’m really close.
Vitalii Kalinin
Vitalii is what I would like to call a silent killer, but also the sweetest guy in the gym. He is consistent at the 6:00am and now Muscle at 5:30. He has such a motor and passion to get better at everything that he does in the gym. There are no half measures for Vitalii. Just watch him do burpees! All of his work has paid off with PR’s on his back squat and deadlifts recently, not to mention Vitalii is JACKED! Great job Vitalii, keep busting ass and being you. Congratulations!
