The member of the month is one of our most enjoyable awards to present each month because it represents an individuals true, and often quiet under the radar hard work. Most of the folks at P360 come in, go about their business and don’t get much recognition because well, it’s impossible to get to everyone (but we try our best). The member of the month award is not about strength, it’s not about speed, and it’s not about athleticism. It’s about pushing yourself to achieve what is great for you, bringing a great attitude in the process and really embracing good old fashioned hard work.
March brings us yet another month of extremely hard work and two new faces putting their stamp on the gym. Both of these winners were an easy selection for our staff and we are proud to present them to you.
Anthony Mosca
Anthony has been a staple of the 6 am class for almost a year, most recently switching to late afternoon due to his schedule. Anthony quietly goes about his goals everyday, asking questions here and there when he needs help and always embracing the challenge presented to him on that day. In March, Anthony took it upon himself to master the rope climb and achieve every single Level I performance club, knocking off Prison Yard, Barbell and Frog Club all in 30 days! Anthony shows up to open gym almost every Saturday and puts in his work that makes him better. Congratulations on a great month to Anthony.

I’m a financial analyst for a defense contractor called BAE systems.
What do you typically do for fun when you’re not at work or in the gym?
I love playing guitar, reading/learning about almost anything (recently nutritional science, self development, economics and Dave’s blog), traveling, camping, drinking coffee and hanging out with friends/family. I also just slayed the entire season of True Detective in two days, and I still dabble with Seinfeld.

Every Olympic lift but hang cleans are my favorite.
What is your least favorite exercise?
Burpees are the bane of my existence.

My favorites are the workouts that contain deadlifts as the main movement with box jumps and rollouts not far behind.
What workouts make you utter curse words to yourself?
Workouts with excessive (translation: any) cardio.
What’s an embarrassing fact most people don’t know about you?
I gave myself a black eye that lasted for about two days while working on my DB snatch from home.

After a couple of drinks, I can run and jump into a handstand and lower myself into the worm. This talent has led to one office party accident.
What’s your most proud accomplishment at the gym?
Rope climb without legs.
What’s your favorite cheat meal?
Pancakes or french toast.
What’s the biggest overall improvement you have made since joining?
I would have to say my overall discipline with everything related to diet and exercise.
Name the one famous person you would like to have a drink with most and the drink you would buy him/her.
I’d buy Jon Hamm an old fashioned.
You have one song a dessert island. What is it?
Blue Eyes Cryin’ in the Rain by Willie Nelson.
What is your biggest goal for the rest of 2014?
Hit all the level 2 clubs and recruit one friend to P360.
Also, I would just like to add. To all of the coaches: Thank you so much for this recognition and your time and effort. None of these achievements would be possible without your help in improving my once atrocious form. You each offer incredibly unique and complementary knowledge and have built the best gym community I’ve ever seen. I can’t imagine training anywhere else.
Sarah Ingegneri
Sarah has been a member of Performance for a while now, and just recently has seemed to really dedicate herself the past few months. She is arguably the most polite person in the gym, always seems to be in a good mood and has an infectious smile that can’t help but motivated all around her.
Most recently, Sarah was named Top Performer in March for her 200# deadlift (at a very tiny frame), 5 ring dips and 100# jerk. All three very big accomplishments for Sarah. She often stays late after class to work on her Turkish Get-Ups simply because she wants to get better. We are very proud to name her the female member of the month in March.

I am 30, and I was born and raised in Tuscon, AZ. I moved out here about 7 years ago after college.

I am back in school to become an RN and will be done in December. I work at Sandbar on the weekends as a server and bartender. Come have a drink with me :)
What do you typically do for fun when you’re not at work or in the gym?
I love to read (when I am not studying my life away). When I have free time, I enjoy hiking, camping, scuba diving and snuggling at home with my dogs and a glass of wine.
What is your favorite exercise?
My favorite exercise right now is Turkish Get-Ups. I love how they work the whole body and involve strength, balance and stability.
What is your least favorite exercise?
My least favorite is definitely sprinting. Growing up, I was told that I run like a duck. Duck’s don’t run very fast.
What kind of P360 workouts do you most enjoy?
The deck of cards workouts are my favorite! I love not knowing what is coming. Even when I was new and pulled the 400m run card and accidentally ran all the way to Mission Blvd. Twice. While Ashley was wondering where the heck I was the whole workout.
What is your most proud achievement in the gym?
My proudest achievement at P360 was finally being able to do a ring dip. I love the rings because they require a lot of stabilizing muscles that I didn’t even know I had or needed.

Workouts that are focused on running or sprinting. See duck comment above.

What’s your favorite cheat meal?
Mac and Cheese, a Coke and a bag of Sour Patch Kids Fruits.
What’s the biggest overall improvement you have made since joining?
Eeek this is tough. P360 is amazing and has helped me improve in every area of fitness. One of my favorite things about the gym is the advice from the coaches. They have all really helped me improve my form and technique to get more out of my effort in the gym. I have seen a huge change just from working on being more efficient and streamlined in my movements.
Name the one famous person you would like to have a drink with most and the drink you would buy him/her.
Jimmy Fallon. We would drink gin.
You have one song a dessert island. What is it?
“I just can’t wait to be king” from the Lion King. You can’t be in a sad mood when that song is on.
What is your biggest goal for the rest of 2014?
My biggest goal for the rest of the year is to stay consistent. I have seen such a difference in the last from months from consistently attending classes and working on developing a strong foundation for each muscle group or movement.
Thank you guys so much! I am honored to be a member of this gym and the awesome community you guys have created.
