And the June winners are…
Female Member of the Month: Monica Wolfe
Monica has been a long time member now and has always been consistent and hard working. A regular in the evening classes mostly, Monica is friendly with all of her classmates and always takes feedback from her coaches very well. Most recently, Monica made it into Level III Barbell Club with her recent 160# jerk (pictured above). She was also one of the winners from last October Challenge where she dropped roughly 10 pounds.

Age, where are you from? 28, I’m from Pennsylvania originally and grew up in Orange County but I’ve been in SD long enough to call it home.
What do you do for work (or school)? Drug discovery research for a pharmaceutical company.
What do you do for fun? Volleyball, cycling, hiking, and traveling whenever I get the chance.
What motivates you each day? The feeling I get after doing something that I couldn’t the day before.
Favorite and least favorite exercise? My favorite are jerks and most of the Olympic lifts in general. Least favorite are running, burpees, pull-ups… oh, the list could go on!
What is your most proud achievement at P360 so far? Fully committing to the October challenge last year and seeing some great results in strength and fat loss. I’m really excited for the 45-day challenge coming up.
If money was no concern, what would be your dream job? Basically, I would take Anthony Bourdain’s job in a heartbeat. Who wouldn’t want to travel and eat their way around the world?
Embarrassing fact most people don’t know? I joined a bowling league last year and my average at the end barely broke 100. I don’t know what’s more embarrassing, the fact that I was on a bowling league or that my handicap was higher than my average.
Hidden talent most people don’t know? Ability to find the best parking spots anywhere I go. (Only works when I’m driving, though)
Favorite cheat meal? Anything sweet.
What’s the biggest overall improvement you have made since joining? Jerks, cleans, and deadlifts were foreign words to me before joining P360. I took my time learning the movements, and have worked my way up to weight I never thought I’d be able to lift. So, I think I’d consider that my biggest improvement.
Famous person you’d most like to have a drink with, and what drink would you buy them? Steve Jobs – Apple-tini.

Song: Don’t worry Be happy, Bob Marley

What is your biggest goal for the rest of 2014? Complete a century ride on my bike, and hike the Inca trail to Machu Picchu. My biggest in-gym goal is to work with Ashley to figure out an effective nutrition plan for me.
I just want to add that I am really honored to be chosen for this. It feels good to know that hard work is recognized and that is one of the things I love about this gym. I wouldn’t be in this position without help from all of the amazing coaches at P360. Thank You!

What is your most proud achievement at P360 so far? It’s actually just being able to work out hard 5 days in the row without my back hurting. A year and a half ago ago I thought having a bad back was just something I had to live with and it dramatically limited my ability to train. However with the support of the coaches, some exercise modification during class and gradually increasing weight over time I have strengthened my back to handle p360 5 days a week.
