It’s that time again, folks.  This month, we have two very worthy winners in what was an incredibly tight race for both genders!  Without further ado, let’s recognize and get to know each winner.

Robbie Davis

Robbie has been a member at P360 for over two years now and has always been one of the more fun and positive members to have around.  A full time police officer and part time semi professional football player, Robbie has no shortage of action in his life.  Always the first to pump someone up prior to a PR attempt or congratulate them after, Robbie has been a consistent positive presence since the day he joined.

Unfortunately, Robbie had to take an extended break from the gym when he suffered a torn ACL while playing for the local San Diego Enforcers football team.

Now that he is back in the gym, he is about three months back into the program and is picking up right where he left off.  Most notably, a 245# 2R power clean, gym leading 14 rounds during the 10 minute Dirty30 and gym leading 2:33 800m row challenge.

Recovering from an injury of that degree is no easy task, and he has proven that through hard work and the right attitude, that getting back to a previous level is all in the right frame of mind.

(Editor’s Note:  This is also a bold statement.)

I want to be able to not just match, but pass all of PRs prior to my ACL surgery.

Julianne Russell

Julianne  has truly enjoyed a great month at P360, which makes this award no surprise to many.  For those that do not know, Julianne is our extremely talented yoga teacher.  Considered the best there is in all of PB, Julianne is a steal for our team and lately, has been an incredibly productive member of the gym.

Some of her noteworthy recent accomplishments include a 275# deadlift, 150# front squat, completing her first two strict pull-ups, one of four women to finish five rounds of “Venti”,  and reaching her main goal of 12 pounds of fat loss.  Not bad for 30 days of work!

Julianne helps many of us daily and the fact that this month she has been helping herself as well makes her a shoe in for female member of the month.

If I could be any professional athlete it would have to be Kelly Slater.  The talent, the lifestyle, his level of health and integrity are unmatched.  He won’t even take sponsorship from companies he doesn’t believe in like Red Bull.  He’s so good he doesn’t have to compromise, and he’s the best surfer to have ever touched a board.  Idol.

Creedence Clearwater Revival.  I Put a Spell on You.

What is your biggest goal for the rest of 2014?

My biggest goal is to keep moving forward. Doubt myself less, and listen more. I waste a lot of time thinking things are way off in the distance when in actuality they are well within my abilities. Opening up to people’s help and support has really allowed me to realize that and I want to keep moving in that direction!

Congratulations to Julianne and Robbie on a very hard earned month of achievements!
