A huge congrats to our second winners of members in the month at P360 Ocean Beach.

Brooke Reams

How old are you, and where are you from?
I’m 33 and I from a rural county county in Virginia called Powhatan.

What do you do for work?
I’m a software developer and an Instructor a University of California Riverside and Rio Hondo College.

What do you do for fun outside of P360?
I love to wakeboard, ride my bike, and hike.

How has P360 affected your life?
I’ve been able to meet some really cool people, and I love the workouts.  I look forward to going to P360 after work each day to work out.  I love the way I feel after a hard workout.

What are your favorite, and least favorite exercises?
I love upper body exercises – pull-ups, push-ups, clean and jerks, are my thing.  I’m horrible at squats – especially front squats and overhead squats.

What is the hardest thing you have done, physically, in the gym?
Any of the workouts that are crazy cardio-intensive.

What is your most proud achievement at P360?
Probably getting to add my name to the Flight Club and Prison Yard benchmarks.

What is a hidden talent of yours?
I do an amazing impression of Wanda Sykes.

What is an embarrassing fact most people don’t know about?

I’d like to be an adventure travel guide, traveling the world on fun excursions.

What is the biggest overall improvement you’ve made, since joining P360?
My cardio endurance has improved tremendously.

What is the most valuable piece of coaching you’ve received?
Hmmm… probably how to properly lift a sandbag without breaking my back… but I think the coaching is great in general.  Just hearing positive reinforcement during a workout is enough to motivate me to keeping pushing forward.

Which public figure or celebrity would you put in the dunk tank?
Kanye West

What’s your favorite place to eat in San Diego?
I love Wonderland Ocean Pub – mostly for the views at sunset, but the food is also really good (not to mention the drinks!).

What famous person (alive or not) would you  most like to have a drink with and what would you buy them?
Maya Angelou.  I’d buy her a margarita on the rocks.

If you had one movie on a deserted island what would it be?
Bridesmaids

What’s a funny story from your childhood?
My sister and I had a video camera and we would use it to make our own silly TV series we called “Cops +”.  Each episode would focus on a family member that we would “accuse” of some “crime”.  We’d set up a whole story and record them doing things that would be “evidence” that they were guilty of the crime.

What’s your favorite naughty food?
Chick-fil-A, In-N-Out Burger, Milano cookies, I could go on and on.  The list is long…

If you could travel to any point in the past, where would you go?
I’d go back to my childhood and hang out with my grandma at her house, playing card games like war and go-fish.

What’s your favorite thing about training at P360?
I love everything about it – the coaches, the people, the workouts, and the way I feel after working out.

What is your biggest goal moving into 2018?
I’ve started eating out less and cooking for myself more.  Mostly to eat healthier and know what I’m eating, but also to save money.

Chris Healy
