About Dave

Dave grew up in McLean, Virginia surrounded by sports from the time he was little. Fortunate enough to get a Division-I athletic offer, Dave attended college at the University of Richmond where he played baseball and was Team Captain. The Spiders went on to win (1) Atlantic 10 Championship and make (2) Division-I NCAA Tournament appearances, with Dave earning Conference Player of the Week honors and a stretch of batting .400 for a month.

Upon graduating from Richmond in 2004 with a B.S. in Business Administration, Dave worked for a few years in the world of marketing agencies before realizing the tradition of the corporate world was just not for him.

Deciding to quit his job and permanently take the tie off in 2008, Dave went back to school full-time in San Diego and studied Exercise Science and Nutrition under Spencer Aiken.

Since starting Performance360 in Pacific/Mission Beach, Dave has run the gambit of clientele including world-class professional athletes, former Presidential administration members, SDPD, ATF, college athletes, serious recreational lifters, all the way down to overweight first timers.

Dave considers himself a true journeyman and student of performance, reading one to two hours per day and constantly testing different technique in the gym.  He is equally proficient in telling you how to execute a perfect deadlift, as well as where he placed in fantasy football, the effect of carbohydrate timing and insulin release on your body composition, what’s on tap at Yogurt on the Rocks and his favorite microbrew.

Dave oversees all training at P360 and takes enormous pride in producing results for every single member. He is a Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutritional Consultant, Russian Kettlebell Certified Instructor, and a former Division-I Regional Champion athlete.
