Andrea, great question. Coconut flour and almond flour are both perfectly acceptable. They are labeled as 'flour' because of it's ability to replace flour but all they contain are ground almonds or ground coconut. I use both of those when recipes call for flour.

Question with flour: the primal blueprint talks about coconut flour, almond flour.. is that stuff just as bad as whole wheat and white flour? Also, is coconut water just as bad as Gatorade as juice? Thanks!

Love this post. I'm definitely trying to trim down but as soon as I know I could NEVER have a glass (or 3) of wine again I'd be on the fast track to fails-ville. Moderation guidelines that you mention (like above and in the gym) help keep me feeling like one slip up here or there won't kill all the effort I'm putting in. Great post!

LOVE THIS POST! AMAZING TIPS AND THE CHART IS AMAZING TOO! I think you are right on point with everything, especially getting most of our carbs from fruit and veggies and the occasional complex carb! I am back to low carb, only thing that works for me to lose weight. I am wondering how long someone can stay in the KETO phase?
